Use of facilities

Because of the beauty of our building, scenic landscaping, and convenient location, we get a lot of inquiries about using our facilities for weddings.  Our church offers a sanctuary with maximum occupancy of 187, a fellowship hall with full kitchen and maximum occupancy of 115 and a covered picnic shelter.  Below are the current Facilities Usage Requirements.

  1. Ebenezer United Methodist Church (EUMC) facilities may be used for activities approved by The United Methodist Church Book of Discipline and the EUMC Administrative Council.  These activities include weddings, receptions, reunions, community and civic functions and related activities.

  2. All requests will be reviewed by the EUMC Trustees and returned within 30 days.

  3. There are no charges for EUMC church members and their immediate family.

  4. All non-members must be sponsored by a current EUMC member and the church member must agree to attend all activities on the church property.

  5. Renters must agree to the following: -Be responsible for all property damage, inside and out, that occurs during the event.  -Clean floors and counter tops in fellowship hall, if applicable.  -Remove all bulletins, handouts, and announcements used during the event.  -Return all furniture to its original location.  -Extinguish all candles.  -Remove all flowers and decorations.  -Turn off all lights.  -Return thermostats to original setting.  -Remove all trash from building and grounds.  -Lock and secure premises after the event.

  6. If the event is a wedding and a pastor other than the current EUMC pastor officiates, the current EUMC pastor must approve the ceremony, music and related activities.

  7. Limited use of wine or champagne will be considered.

  8. Usage fees are: Sanctuary-$1000.00, Fellowship Hall-$1000.00, Picnic Shelter-$200.00

  9. A deposit equal to half the usage fee is required with the reservation form.  The reservation will be considered incomplete if the appropriate fees and deposit are not included.

  10. The full deposit will be refunded after the event if the agreement is adhered to.  If all terms of the agreement are not adhered to, the deposit will not be returned.

  11. Upon approval by the EUMC Trustees, the event date will be reserved.  Cancellation by either the renter or sponsor must be made 30 days prior to the event to receive a full refund.
